Some 46% of the interviewees said they had eaten alone in the past 24 hours, up 9% from 2017. Around 16% of respondents said they preferred to eat alone. One reason for eating alone could be the rise of the single person Chinese household. According to the Ministry of Civil Affairs, marriage registrations have dropped in China every year since 2014, while the divorce rate has risen for 16 straight years. Another reason for eating alone is time - or the lack of it. Commuters, strapped for time, often grab breakfast on the go at food outlets near subway and bus stations. And more people are having their lunch delivered from one of the many food delivery firms and choosing to eat it at their desks. Eat Solo is an online video channel with more than 1.5 million followers. But Caos discovery shows that superconductivity might be an intrinsic quality of the purely carbon-based material, taking a huge step in the decades-long search for superconductors with a simpler makeup. The physics prodigy from Chengdu, Sichuan province, is the third Chinese scientist in five years to make Natures list for pushing scientific development. A whole series of Fuxing trains were rolled out at the China National Railway Test Center in Beijing, including new versions - a longer train and two lower-speed versions. The longer Fuxing trains, which are 440 meters long and can seat 1,283 passengers, are the longest high-speed trains in China, with a maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
